Bin Collection app tool information.
Only households within the Dundee City Council area are included within the app.
Addresses within Dundee City Council local authority who are served by the multi-service wheeled bin system should be available for use in the app. It’s the resident's responsibility to present individual wheelie bins are included with the bin app.
Flatted addresses served by communal containers aren’t included. If you cannot locate the address, please contact Dundee City Council.

Enter your postcode into the address finder without any spaces, for example DD21HG.

On certain devices, if the app is open when notifications are sent, they will not be displayed.
Certain devices limit the number of notifications that can be sent without the user opening the app – open the app on a regular basis to ensure notifications continue to be sent.
If you have a problem with your bin collection contact Dundee City Council. You can do this from within the app using the contact button in the top right of the screen.

Try searching for similar types of waste items to find a close match. As an alternative, refer to the Recycling A to Z to identify the correct bin or to find further information on reuse and recycling of various household items.

Yes, the app can support multiple postcodes.

The calendar is stored on your

Missed bin collection
Missed bin collections can be reported via this
webpage.
Submitted missed bin complaints are sent to the relevant operational supervisor for review.Where appropriate the supervisor will then arrange,via a collection crew, to return to the address to service the missed bin.
Waste Management will aim to collect the missed bins within 48 hours from the original collection date.

Bin requests can be submitted via this
webpage.
Once a request has been received, its placed in a queue for operational personnel toschedule delivery of the bin.
Waste Management will aim to issue replacement containers within 21 days and bins for new build housing within 5 working days. Please note these timescales aresubject to staffing and resource availability, notwithstanding any existing outstanding backlog of orders.

Bin uplifts can be submitted via this
webpage.
Once a request has been received, its placed in a queue for operational personnel to schedule uplift of the bin.
Waste Management will aim to uplift containers within 21 days.
Contaminated bins
Please ensure the right materials go in the right bin. Low levels of contamination (up to 10%) may still be collected by the crew. Collection crews have the right to refuse collection of moderately and heavily contaminated bins.
It’s residents responsibility to decant all contaminants from the applicable recycling wheelie bin into their grey wheelie bin.This will ensure uplift on the next collection cycle.
Excess waste can be disposed of at either Recycling Centre.Otherwise, Special Collections (chargeable) can be arranged via this webpage.

Assisted Collections
Assisted collections can be applied via this webpage.
Supporting proof of evidence, depending on the qualifying grounds includes a copy of one of the below documents:
PIP Personal Independent Payment No, DLA – Disability Living Allowance, document showing/confirming date of birth, Attendance Allowance or Doctors Note.
Applications can’t be processed without a copy of the necessary evidence.

Received applications will be assessed againstthe qualifying criteria. Qualifying households will be issued with a covering letter and stickers to be attached to all their household bins to denote membership of this scheme. Collection crews will collect, empty and return binson scheduled collections days thereafter. Applications which don’t meet the criteria are subject to rejection and residents, instead of collection crews, would be responsible for presentation and return of bins.

Issuing grey wheelie bins for assisted collection, to addresses served by eurobins is subject to the discretion of the Waste Managementdepartment and conditions apply.
Additional Bin Permits

Health-related waste – prescription, healthcare product receipts
Supplementary information may be requested as part of the application process.

The grey bins will be emptied every collection day thereafter. Applications which don’t meet the criteria are subject to rejection.

Poly bins will not be displayed on the app.This app is strictly for addresses who have been issued a suite of wheelie bins (kerbside service) and whose responsibility is to present and return wheelie bins on collection day.
